My youngest boy turned 21 months and I always use those opportunities to try out new spots and get their photos in the process. What a beautiful day this turned out to be! He was all about the hood and wouldn't take it off for a second.

Valentine FUN!

So, Valentine's Day is around the corner and I'm gearing up to offer some minis. Valentine's Day is such a girlie holiday, but I have TWO boys! What's a gal to do? Well, I figured on this first go-round we would bypass all the typical stuff and think BOY. What do BOYS like? So, here it is...

Ties, and Bikes, and Puppy Dog Tails....That's what Valentine's Boys are made of!

Autumn Harvest Minis - October 23rd (Part 2)

Still playing catch-up, but there is no way I could pass up posting this session. I could share tons of pictures of these boys, but alas, I will only post a few. Lets see, what do you get when you have a set of twin boys and an only slightly younger brother? Tons of FUN! We did take a moment to get some pictures of mom and dad while the boys played.

Finally, one of my faves from the shoot. This guy has got quite the look. Check out this model in the making.

You've seen the youngest one before for his own photoshoot. This time we got the whole family involved. Mom and Dad decided they wanted some family photos and then some of the boys together. It was such a beautiful day and big brother was such a trooper!

Autumn Harvest Minis - October 23rd (Part 1)

Oh how I have neglected you all!. So sorry, it has been a crazy couple of months. BUT, I definitely want to get you all up to speed! This is what I have been up to....lots and lots of pictures and editing....not to mention a pregnancy! Its been crazy around here, let me tell you.

On to the photos!

Here are a couple of boys that are nearly the same age as my two. I could totally relate to their energy. Little L was all about the pumpkins. They were a big hit along with the little wagon. Big L wanted in on the fun too. In the end, everyone needed a pumpkin to hold. These boys were just too cute!

Family Fun!

This family session was definitely a nice break from the fast-paced toddler sessions I have been doing lately. Our location was a bit saturated with photographers that day, but we managed to get a lot of great shots without too much interference. We even found a great grassy area at the end that allowed them to take on some pretty impressive acrobatic feats!

This little man rocked these sessions! So full of energy and...as always...0 to 60 and very little in between! But just look at the great smiles he flashes my way! Gotta Love It!

Jace turned 17 months yesterday so I took the opportunity to shoot him as a preview for the Autumn Harvest Minis. The original plan was for Saturday, October 23rd (weather pending) -$60 session includes 30 minutes and your choice of 10 photos on disc. The available times are:

Sweet Baby J

Little M was just a joy to have in front of the camera. His smiles were so easy and was ready to check out anything we put him in or on. Brother G got in on the action at the end and wasn't so sure he wanted to perform for us. He gave all his smiles to his little brother and that was fine by me! Look how sweet these two are!

He's my nephew and he's here! I love the name and this precious little boy. He was named after my brother (which also includes my dad) and my grandfather. These pictures were actually taken before he was one day old! I kept them low key with little posing. I didn't want to disturb him too much. I mean he just got here! I think he did fantastic for just arriving on the scene...

I had the privilege to take belly pictures of my sister-in-law. She is a gorgeous pregnant woman. One that you love to hate. You know, so tiny and all belly. We had a lot of fun with lighting and interesting props. Belly opportunities are harder to come by so I jump at the chance to perfect my skills in this area. Next will be my nephew's debut!

The parents of these boys picked the PERFECT photo session. It was all about being BOYS. They ran, played, laughed, and gave me PERFECT pictures. So perfect, in fact, that I ended up with WAY TOO MANY photos! In a good way! I gave them quite a challenge to pick those final shots. But how fun was this shoot! I have two boys as well and just LOVED running around with them.

Celebrations

The DeCarlo Family came to me to celebrate a few special milestones. Their youngest turning two, their oldest turning four and simply their family. We wanted to get a lot of different shots and the location was perfect! I loved just taking pictures of them being a family and enjoying each other. Again, I look on in fondness, as I have two boys as well. It is fun to see them give each other rough love with silliness on the side.

I'm a little behind in my posting. Life has been crazy around here. We had two Mercer Spring Fling sessions in March. The flowers were just starting to bloom due to the colder weather, but even so we had some great shots. And who couldn't with these adorable boys! They remind me so much of my own. They are even around the same age!

This family was simply wonderful. Big sis is waiting on a little sis and Mom and Dad are excited about the blessing that will soon arrive. The name is a possibility so we won't reveal the family, but what wonderful shots of this princess to be!

A bit of Design

Though photography seems to be more of a focus for me these days, I do still use my college degree in Graphics. My first love...though photography is definitely fighting for the title! So, here is one of the latest and greatest. A simple brochure for a women's event and two posters to go along side. I did also create the logo to coincide with the event. They wanted something to represent mentoring between women.

Welcome to the blessed New Year! I am so excited about my shoots this year! I have posted my new 2010 rates in a document on the right side for potential and previous clients to download. Spunky Cuteness

My last shoot of 2009...literally! We finished up the shoot on New Year's Eve. She was so adorable and so full of energy. Just like every toddler, there are times that there are better things to do than to take pictures. But I must say, along with an adorable smile, she does have the cutest pout!

Family of 6

What a wonderfully challenging session! I had a lot to accomplish in the hour we had to capture this family, but what a gorgeous shoot it turned out to be! We managed to get individual photos of each child, a few family portraits and some newborn shots all in one session! AMAZING! The kids were great to work with and we got the infamous "eye" photo from the little "C". Even our little one managed to sleep through the shoot until right at the end when we got some of him wide-eyed and smiling. I had so many more photos that I could post but I HAD to condense it down to the ones below. You will definitely be able to see what a fun day of shooting it was!

Blue-Eyed Cuties

Check out the blue-eyes on these three cuties! AMAZING! I have been dying to post this shoot, but had to wait until after the holidays to not ruin any Christmas surprises. I had the hardest time deciding which to post and once again fell back on variety. I am so used to photographing my sons black-brown eyes that these baby blues jumped out at me during editing. Just so you all know, there was absolutely NO enhancing done to their eyes, they are THAT blue! Craziness!

My son turned 7 months old this month. I take monthly pictures of them for their first two years. It is definitely another full time job to keep up with, but so worth it! They just change so much and I am determined to capture the moments. As with his older brother, I use Christmas time to take the opportunity to shoot some fun Santa Baby Pictures. They will kill me when they get older, but they are just "Oh so cute!". There is even a shot that captures his two new teeth. I must also disclose that I am obsessed with baby toes, so don't be surprised if you see a lot of them throughout this blog!

"Work", then Play!

Once again the weather was frigid, but these two adorable kids were troopers and we got the shoot done in no time with great results! We had a bit of time left over at the end and they wanted me to hang around while they explored a bit. So, I took this opportunity to catch a few more natural photos. Their energy definitely came out when they were let loose. I just love the action shot in the maze!

Keeping Warm

These past couple of weeks have been on the chilly side for outside photo shoots, but I guess that is what winter brings! Keeping moving is definitely the key to staying warm and that was no hard task for this small cutie and her family. She was touch and go keeping me behind the camera at all times for that perfect shot. I did take a short break to take a few solo shots of her older sister. What a gorgeous smile...and what a beautiful family!

High Energy

I absolutely love the energy of toddlers. It definitely keeps me on my toes. At the same time there is something so pure and natural about their facial expressions. This little guy was a mile a minute trying to absorb everything around him, so shots of him sitting were definitely rare but so worth the final outcome.

First Shoot of December

My first shoot of December was an adorable newly wed couple and their two pooches. The couple was so laid back and the dogs were amazing to work with. A couple of key phrases made their ears perk right up! I had so many great photos to choose from. It was hard to decide which photos to post for you all to see. So I opted for variety. I hope you all enjoy!

Autumn, my favorite season

Autumn, or Fall, is definitely my favorite season. The beautiful colors of the trees as they change. That is one thing I truly miss here in Texas. During Thanksgiving, we were blessed to be able to travel back to my home in Indiana and visit family. The cooler weather with practically NO humidity was a breath of fresh air! I took that opportunity to indulge my camera in these vibrant colors of Fall.
